Default 2010 or 2011

Dealers in this area are offering up to $2500 off on the 2010 bikes left in stock. I am thinking about an Ultra Limited. Do you think that $2500 is a good deal or will I just save the money on the front end and have a bike that is worth that much less come trade in time in approx 5 years because it is a model year older and what if anything is different about the 2011 Limiteds besides color and the front bumper being gone?

I would just go with the 2010. Both 103. I think the new colors suck, but if there is a color that catches your eye, jump on it. I think people are saying that the 2011 come with the SE Compensator, you can sure do it less than $2,500. Plus, I am always a big fan of buying left overs from previous MY. Did that with my 2004 Suburban, saved $15,000 from a 2005, she is still pulling strong.

Shouldn't be looking at it as an investment, it should be what you want, personally I want a Vivid Black Roadie, if I could find a 2010 for $2500 off I'd buy that over the 2011, I don't like the exhaust but I'd most likely change it eventually even if I got the 2011. But I really want a Road Glide Ultra and can't get that in 2010.

I meant to say that also, who cares about price down the road, just ride the damn thing until it falls apart. When I first got mine, I wiped it down everyday when I got home from work. Wife came out one day and said to stop, it is not a show bike, it is a comfortable piece of transportation, it was meant to be dirty from riding. Since she is paying for it, we compromised on a 3-4 hour wash on the weekends.

find out what the 2010 has depreciated during the last year. it's already a year old, so depreciation would be the factor i'd be looking at because if you get a 2010 even though it's still brand new, when you go to trade it in or sell it later on, that will come into the picture. get whatever you makes you happy. it's your money, therefore your decision.

Just go to the dealer and name your price on a 2010, they may be the desperate ones, trying to get rid of the old MY.
