I didn't think there was an issue with heat when the bike was stock. It's an air-cooled Harley, it's gonna get hot. That said, there's definitely less felt heat with the Fatcat on the bike and a decent V-Tune.
HUGE heat reduction. Riding a week now with no CAT on my 2010 Police Electra Glide. Went with V&H Dresser Duals and V&H Blackout Rounds. Also did the high flow AC and a Fuelpak. A lot cooler and much better sound.
Yeah these new bikes with the cat arent worth riding. I bought my bike last oct. and within a month i had gotten rid of that pos header and replaced it with a bub7 tdx full exhaust. I also had a pcv added plus dyno tuned and now the bike runs as cool as any other harley i have owned.
Did he have any luck droping the temperature. The heat off this thing is a bitch and the wife wont get on the bike if the outside temp is over 85 degrees. It cooks her right leg!
Oh yeah, made a big difference. He mentioned he thought he could help it even more with a little richer AFR mix. Think he went with TTS tuner and a canned map. Getting rid of the cat conv made it louder also. Sounds really good now. Not too loud, good and deep.
