Default Header pipes

I want to change out the stock header and I'm not sure what header to get. I was told it will cut the heat down. I have a 2012 limited and it throws a lot of heat. Not going to pay for some fancy name just to say I have it.

Then pick up a factory header that has been de-catted for around a $100 off of E-Bay.

This is a exact replica of the stock headers minus the CAT. It will reuse your stock heatshields.
Yes the CAT retains heat so removing it does help that.

We have the Unfiltered headpipe for this exact reason, part number 188-71800. They use the stock shields. Forum members get 10% off, Next week however we will (for a limited time) be running a 20% off program. Go to the website and look for the red 'Save Now' icon, sign up for the newsletter and receive a coupon code to order on line.

Also look the the Fullsac sport pipe.. I ran one on 12 RGU, no issues at all. If you do the exchange it’s even cheaper.

Love my Supertrapp 2-1-2. Heat is way down and the stock shield fit perfect.

I went with fuel moto stainless 2-1-2 head pipe and crusher mufflers. Less heat, everything bolted up fine and sounds awesome, and no loss of bottom end.
Also like others suggested fulsac make nice head pipes.
