It probably is but was wondering. My stock pipes underneath the heat shield is really blueing. Normal? If it is I don't think Harley did a very good job in covering the stock pipes with their heat shields. Blueing is too noticeable.
Never mind. Did a search and saw that it is normal for the stock pipes. Still think they should have put heat shields on that cover the pipes better. But whatta I know. Maybe they can't.
By the way, Kuryakyn sells a little filler piece that eliminates that gap for around $30.
It is not quite as slick as thereplacement Harleyextended shield, but the price is right especially if you buy it from a place like M&M at a 25% discount.
