Default 2009 street glide shocks

I just purchased a used 2009 street glide with 6000 miles. Looks great and love the ride on smooth roads. If I hit a bump in the road it will bounce me off the seat like it does not have shocks. I checks the sir pressure and it was at 25 psi so I droped it down to 10 psi now it will bottom out. It still rides like a rigged frame bike. Any suggestions???? Will air ride help. That is about 1000 bucks for the system.

Sharp bumps are a pain, don't know your size I run 40 in mine, you might try higher rather than lower pressure. No matter what the stockers aren't all that great

Go with more air (not less) to improve the ride.
I did not like the harsh ride of my '10 SG so I opt'd to put full size touring shocks on it for a better ride.

What is the downside to more air?

I'm 225 lbs ride solo and with my stock shocks, anything below 22 lbs would bottom out. I use to run 28 lbs and yes on rail road tracks it would bounce my butt off the seat about 6".

So I too put on some Ultra take off shocks. Smooth as can be now, even the same rail road tracks.

It did for me. Becareful how you handle them, if you turn them "top side low" oil will drain out of the shocks.
