Have read a number of posts regarding the harsh ride of the 09 and later Street Glide. I had the same issues with the air shocks regardless of what air pressure setting I used.
I decided to give the new "Premium Ride Hand Adjustable Low Touring Shocks" P/N 54680-10 a try and all I can say is WOW.
I took a couple hundred mile ride this weekend and purposly hit bad sections of road, both highway and secondary and was amazed at the smoothness.
With the air shocks I would have to slow down from 65 - 70 mph to 55 and stand on the footboards so I wouldn't be flung out of the seat or feel my back snap. Now I can just go over those same bumps sitting and enjoying the ride. I'm not talking about pot holes, just poorly patched areas and/or heaves.
I just wanted to post my experience with these new shocks in case others were curious.
