I remember seeing a while ago about replacing the crap fairing brackets with steel angle iron.

Does anyone have a link to the instructions or post where this was discussed?

It sounds as though both of the brackets are broken right now, I haven't taken it apart yet but I can hear a slight rattling on each side.

Just had the ting-ting sound from around my faring. Took it in and they said one of the mounts was broke. This is after only two months and 2500 miles. Of course they didn't have any in stock so they had to order. You would figure that since this is an ongoing problem that they would make better, stronger brackets. I personally don't want to be taking it in every few months to have these damn things replaced. Even if it is under warranty.
