Default Props to Biketronics

Called them yesterday as I was having an issues with my Titan Amp. The issue is the sound(amp) would kick out usually at higher volume (no distortion in sound) despite the radio showing it was still outputting a signal. Simply turning off the radio and turning it on immediately would correct the lack of sound. It seemed to be getting progressively worse, though at a slow pace, over time. I left a message with them and they returned my call a couple days later. I spoke with Jed and first asked if there was a way to disable their Statorgaurd as I assumed that was the problem...to much current draw would kick off the amp. After he asked why, I explained and he said that it sounded like an overheating issue. He went further to say that it could be one of two things. 1) it could be an issue with the amp, or 2) it could be an issues with one of the speakers, like a drop in resistance causing the amp to run hot if you will. He suggested that if I had the ability to check the resistance of the speakers to do so. So last night when I got home I check the resistance and the speakers were both at 3.5 Ohms. They are rated at 4 Ohms. After a quick review of the web I came to the conclusion that these were at the normal level of resistance for a rating of 4 Ohms. I called back Biketronics today and spoke with Jed again and shared my findings. His response was that he would have to warranty my amp. They would charge a core fee, send me a new amp when available (they are in high demand now and should be a week), and when I was satisfied with the new amp I would send back the old one and would be returned my core charge.

I was very surprised how easy the warranty claims was. They had all my information as I bought the amp form them direct about three years ago.

I just wanted to post here of my good experience with Biketronics, and let it be known that they stand behind their products as the claim to.
