I had rotator cuff surgery last year and then in feb had bicep tendon surgery, tore my bicep tedon. I find the stock the bars are a little to tight and put a huge strain on the bicep and rotator cuff. anything to high and same thing.. I am not sure what style of bars on my RK custom are called but they are perfect for my gimp shoulder..

Do you have a pic of the bike?

Heritage bars are narrower and have a different angle. I like the arms not too wide and up a little.

Look to be the same angle and width as my Wild 1 RKII WO518's, I have since changed brake line and throttle cables.

The WO518 RKII bars are the bars I have. I don't have a torn rotator cuff but I'd imagine they are about as comfortable bars as you'll ever find because they are allow the rider to set in a natural position.

Thanks for the pics. I think I have narrowed it to the 508 or 518 or the heritage bars. I am worried the 518 may be too wide.

To help give you a better idea about the width of the 518's, I am about 6'1" and when I set on my bike, the grips are directly above my knees.

I had surgery on both shoulders. Beachbars worked well for me when I had a RK. I now have an Ultra and wish I could put beachbars on that too.

I have read on other forums that the 518 and 508 are difficult in slow maneuver riding as in sharp cornering etc, is this true for you too?
