Default Sundowner question...

I have an 04 EGC and am thinking about the Sundowner, but have a question about it.
In what way does it change the rider position as compared to the stock? Higher, lower, forward, back and by about how much? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a 08 streetglide, so it's a different part number than yours, but I measured the rider position of it compared to the stock seat and I found the position to be about 1/2 inch lower than stock and close to an inch forward on the sundowner.

Thumbs up

I got it for my 2010 trike. Sits me about 1/2 inch lower and allows the back rest to be put on and off much easier. Also much more comfy than the stock seat.

That might be a deal breaker. I like the idea of lower but my issue with the stock seat is that I already feel like I'm too far forward. Thanks for the info.

Some of the dealers around here have running a seat trial promotion where you can go in and swap yours for a sundowner and use it for up to 48 hours.

I use one on my 2010 SESG and it sits a little higher than the stock seat but no further forward or back

Little Mike, If you want to keep w/ a Harley brand seat and not so close. Maybe look into the "tallboy". I think it lowers you, but not as close to the bars as the sundowner. I know my local dealer will allow you to put the seat of your choice on your bike and see how it feels in the parking lot. Hope this helps out! Good Luck & Ride Safe. YELLOWBIRD

I have an 07 with the Sundowner which may be the same as what would go on your bike. It puts me farther back and a little lower, though neither are by a great amount. Maybe an inch back and maybe 1/2 inch or so down. I had to move my rider's seat back base back one hole, to the farthest back position. It is pretty comfortable but I still get pretty saddle sore on long distance day long rides. The seat is lower profile than the stock Electra Glide seat.
