Default Speaker Upgrade?

I'm new to the site and have read alot on speaker upgrades.Very Helpful!!! I'm confused on what to get as far as MORE BANG for your buck. There are so many kind of after market speakers out there, which one is going to be better than the other. I'm a guy that likes to get what he pays for no matter the price.

I have the Biketronics 5.25 speakers and find that they are of high quality and have no complaints about the sound they produce. I also have the TweeterPod which adds a nice boost to the highs. Biketronics also has a 6.5 speaker which came out after I purchased the 5.25. Don't think you would be disappointed.

Another speaker thread? Really?
If you try searching on speaker upgrade, you can read more info than you will ever want to know. That being said, it can be confusing if you have an "older" bike in this forum as to what fits what.

Goon, something that may help would be to post specifics on your bike such as year and model and how much BUCK you want to spend. Some of the upgrades are not available for older bikes.

There are so many options. Speakers, speakers with amps. Bigger speaker, bigger amps. I replaced my inferior stock speakers with a pair of used JBL GTO's. Bought then used on this forum. The difference was substantial. Still not concert hall quality, but it works for now. Significant improvement with minimal cost. I would probably start with a speaker upgrade. You can always add an amp later. just my 2 cents

I hve installed Hog Tunes Hawg Wired AND J&M

The New Hog Tunes Ultra 4 is good
The Hawg Wired W 160w amp is Excellent but pricey
The J&M 7.25 Speakers with 250w Amp is Awesome and less than Hawg Wired when oredered from DR Vtwin

I run the J&M 7.25's and the 250 w amp along with Hog Tunes Hogpods running off the head unit.

Crystal clear at 90 mph even with a helmet.

Thanks for ALL the input Guys!!! My bike is a 06 Street Glide and have decided to go with the middle of the road.I allready have Hog Tunes-hog Pod,painted to match my inner fairing. Then going to add the ARC M.P.A.K 4 from Arc Audio, that includes 6.5 speakers and the Arc 125.5 Mini amp. Hope to have the Arc system by the weekend. I will give updates later. Again Thanks for the input and for ALL the speaker Threads.
