A good friend that I ride with a lot is trading his 05' clasic cvo on a new 07' ultra cvo I took his rhineharts off of the 05' to be used on the 07' due to the fact that the dealer said that the sert will remap the bike fine with the o2 sensors removed and work just like his 05' wich I was a little suprised of but now they aer changing there minds saying that now they are not sure. Does any one know if it is true and they are getting pressure to not do it because they are the dealer? I saw on fuel moto's site that the 07' power comanders are out with o2 sensor eliminators and a part # on dyno jet's web site any one with any input on either of these on the 07' 96" or 110" ?
Thanks that makes more sense to me when explained that way tuning a base map and letting it adjust up or down 30% kind of explains why small changes are ok but it will not adjust for big changes but with that said the 30% tunes to what 14.7:1 or can it be changed to a richer 13.2 or so ? realizing it is probably more compliated than that and 13.2 is adjusted @ 100% thortle position the o2 sensors probably adjust for diffrent thortle positions. I apreciate the info and I will pass it on thanks!
All the new sert maps are EPA friendly and not like the 06 and back, best wait for a non hd set up to get it done right unless you can get the sert set up using a dyno.
I too would leave the 02 sensors in place. besides loosing the flexibility of tuning. You may run into some warranty issues from the MOCO with them removed.
05 Rinehart true dual system WILL NOT work on any 07 touring bike. Don't waste your time, it won't fit due to the larger six speed trans. The front cylinder pipe will not clear the transmission cover and this is why Rinehart is re-designing their pipes. I currently have a SERT, ness big sucker, and SE slip on's and the bike runs great. I am also going to install a full Rinehart system but not until they release the new pipes in November. The 110 engine really needs to breathe, it really is like night and day after tuning it and changing the air filter and pipes. Even with slip on's !!!
