I think there's a loophole in this law that customers are exempt. They call also sell their customer list to "associates" (IOW anyone who'll pay them for the list) and I believe that is also legal. The bottom-line is that the no-call list is very flawed, and I get junk phone calls every other day even though I'm on the list. I look at my caller ID and if I don't know the number or name I don't answer it.

If you ever sign-up for one of those "no interest for six months" schemes you can bet you'll find this "sharing" scheme in the fine-print.

Nope, I tell every business or charity that calls on the phone that I won't donate or do business with them because of telemarketing type phone calls.
Do not call lists don't do any good because even if they do take the number down, they don't use it.

I am on the mailing list for mine and that's good because I get the little new stuff pamphlets from the moco and the even flyers. Would'nt want them calling me all the time.

My local dealer has a very friendly staff and I stop by just to say hi sometimes, but they don't ever call me looking for money. They do send me specials in the mail and hit my e-mail with offers too. They will only call when my parts come in. I'm happy about that. If you don't want anyone calling you, just let them know you would prefer they don't contact you or give them an alternate way to reach you: mail, e-mail, smoke signals, etc. If that does not work, speak to the manager or owner. If that does not work, start calling them with special limited time offers to kiss your ***!

Only calls I get are to make sure that the purchase of a t-shirt, accessory went well. The corporate marketing juggernaught continues!

The no call list works great only if you haven't done business with a company during the past year or so. Little quirk a lot people don't know about. You can ask them to stop calling but back it up with a letter.

I get phone calls only when stuff I order comes in. Otherwise I just get mail stuff from 3 dealers in my area. Doesn't bother me.
