I have the Stage II 103" with manual CRs. When the engine is cold, they are not needed. When it's hot, sometimes.

Weird, mine is the opposite. She will grind if I start her in the morning without em, but to stop and top off with gas I have problems. I still hit the rear one reguardless.

I've got a 103 with 9.8:1 compression & no compression releases. Starts fine hot or cold.

How about those of you that have them, tell us not only what compression ratio you are running, but what cam, too.

Without those two tidbits, whether you have them or not is absolutely irrelevant.

Not need to worry about starting problems with SE Compensator. You may be I mean may be need to upgrade starter other wise SE Compensator should be first on the list with 103" kit with cams setup.

10.5:1, 260SE (.609) cams.
