Default 2005 Ultra

OK, still nagging myself over the Ultra.

I can get a 2005 Ultra with a handful of add-ons and 2500 miles for $14K.

Is this something I should be considering?

I'm not good at this, I'm usually a s"ticker-price at the dealer -type buyer".

Any input is truly appreciated.

Sounds like a great deal especially if the bike is clean and not been crashed. I paid $17k for my classic with many extras and 2000 miles on it. This was in January.

unless the 6 speed is important to you this is a better deal. you only use the 6 speed rarely anyway over 65-70mph.

I'd say this is a great deal. Bought an '05 EG standard a couple of months ago. Upgraded w/tourpak, flame boards/controls/heated grips, and a little extra chrome with 12K miles for $16K and haven't found a deal to match it yet. Everything I see is 17,5K plus. Go for it

I paid $15,000 for my 05 Ultra in June. It had a couple thousand dollars worth of options, but had 17,000 miles. Yours is definetly a GREAT deal. 07 are nice, but for the difference ($22,000-14,000= $8,000), I would get the 05 in a heart beat. IT is probably still under warrenty.

BUY IT! Put gear driven cams in it, etc. and ride. Given the issues with the '07, it's a no-brainer.

What is the catch? Seems like a great deal to me -- and the Ultra is just that... top of the line.

Buy it, make it your own, and don't look back (except to see all the gawking stares of the jealous onlookers...)

I paid $22M for my 05 Ultra new last year and have since added $6000 in accessories and 10,000 miles.

Wholly sh$t - you mean to tell me the resale is less than $18,000.

That's a loss of a quick 10 G's [:@] OUCH.

You got a steal Tony - grab it before it is gone!!! Somebody must be desparate.
