Engine light comes up

Hi guys ,

I have a 05 roadking custom and lately (the last one week) whenever I am accelerating and reach the 140 km the engine light pops up - once I slow down it goes away.
Then
When iam in the 140 and accelerate more the light might go out for a second and then comes up again once I go higher (160 Km)

any ideas what it can be ? - up to now I did not run the diagnostic trouble codes

I had that happen a lot on the way to Sturgis in 09, went to Black Hills Harley and they found a wire grounding out in the wiring bundle right behind the fairing. An old timer said just put some black electrical tape over the light and it won't be there anymore

If you're getting the engine light, you will be getting codes generated. Ya need to read them or take the bike to the dealer service for a quick look and decipher.
