Me, the wife and the dog are headed to Friday Harbor for the holiday weekend to see some family and decompress after a month of Mondays. The best part is, no matter how close to sail time we arrive, bikes always go to the front of the ferry line.
While its a 3 day weekend for most....its only a 1 day of riding
for us.
Hurricane Earl will be blowing thru here on Saturday, so thats a
non riding day....and Monday my wife will be back to work.
Soooooooooo, that leaves us Sunday to get our ride in.....
We'll leave the confines of the Bar Harbor area bright and early
Sunday morning, travel back roads into N.H. and rumble thru
the scenic notches of the White Mountains before pulling into a
smokey bbq on the border of ME and NH.....
After getting our fill of grub, we'll point the bike towards
the mid coast and meander our way home....taking in all
the sights, sounds, and smells Mother Nature has to offer.
We have a bunch of rides..One of my buds is with the Combat vet,s and he will host a big party here in Tennessee called Ghoststock..and as a bonus the weather is supposed to cool down.. Hope you all have a great safe weekend..
Well 2 weeks holidays starts today and although I won't be making any long trips on the bike I am going to toronto and from there flying out to pescara Italy, and I'm not even italian but the wife is. I still don't understand why we're going. I;m thinking I may have to breakdown real low andrent a Vespa.
