Default Paint question

I'm looking at purchasing in a '09 or newer streetglide. I am absolutely in love with the paint and colors on the CVO Electraglide for '11. The price for HD replacement parts/swap is recockulous. Does anyone have a ballpark idea of what I should expect for a paint job that would look like that? (tank, fendors, hardbags, batwing, and possibly lowers)

Thanks,
mikebaby

very opened question....

Lots of labor to R&R the parts - who is doing that labor

Also - NO two paint shops charge the same..

If it is MY bike and I take all the parts off and MY painter does the work... ONE Price

get my point...

If you live in Central CA - PM me and I will give you my painters contact info. but YOU will need to remove all the parts and take them to him.

what ever direction you decide... LOTS of work and gonna cost ya $$$$$$$$$$$$$

A good custom paint job will cost you $4000 +. Paint is one of those things where the saying "you get what you pay for" really applys.

Default Paint Jobs

I have been down this road. The paint job I got would have cost me about 7500.00 based on the Vivid Dragon website prices. At the time they were offering a 40% off discount. After speaking to the owner I decided against it because it was still a big investment. When he offered to take off another 1000.00 I said okay. Alot of these guys offer buying your tins for some amount of money and getting you new part replacements for painting while your still using your bike. Vivid dragon offered me 1000.00 for my parts . I was able to sell them for more. The deal worked out well for me in the end. If you are shopping paint jobs make sure you get what you want in writing. Make sure you get step by step picture updates and make sure the guy you deal with is very willing to answer questions and potential changes. And lastly know up front how long it should take. I waited 4 months for mine. If you have any other questions you can PM me. I'll be glad to answer any other questions you may have.

again, Not sure where you are located... IF by chance you are in the northern CA area.. Merced/Fresno/Modesto

I can put you in touch with one of the best painters around..

Fair priced, easy to talk to, VERY talented, you make an appoitment and work is done in a very timley manner...

you wont find a better painter or deal..

OK, I will get off my soap box.. I understand how hard it is to find a GOOD and honest painter

Last winter I had my inner fairing and cap, outer fairing, windshield painted. It wasn't vivid black. They call it the "expensive black" and it's from Germany. It is a deeprer richer black. It cost me $850 the have it done. I already had my Klock Werks front fender and dash panel painted in it. And with the dash panel over the vivid black tank, you can really tell the difference. And it doesn't show all the little scratches.
