My 2003 FLHTCUI just turned 50. I have the big sucker and true duals with rush slip ons. I am looking at going big bore and switching cams. I need to know what to buy. I do not want to split the case. I am willing to spend about $2000 on parts.
95 or 98 or what who has the most complete kit for the best price.
What all should I replace. I have the Harley list but I want to do a really good job.

The S/E 95" kit is the most complete for the price. My bike is at 52K and is getting the 95" kit as soon as it comes in. Heads will be ported and polsihed by Big Boyz and it will all go back together. It should be a few weeks until it is finally finished. I'll report back when it is done.

That kits appears to come with a new intake, which I do not need. Plus I find it hard to believe that HD would have the best price on anything.

I was planning on the revolution Perf 98" kit but it seems I have to wait to do either now. I was going to sell the a/c as I didn't need it either. I get dealer discounted pricing so it was reasonable for me. I think retail is about $739 or so. The Rev kit which is pistons and cylinders retails for $999 but yous till need gaskets, cams if you are going to do them (you might as well)and whatever seals and such are needed. Figure otu what you wnat and i can get you discounted pricing.

Some people say it is better to bore out your existing cylinders. What do you think?

Axtell sells a 97" kit with new pistons, bored out stock cylinders, and gaskets = $460

Then you need to decide if you are going to have head work done = www.bigboyzheadporting.com gets my recommendation.

Then after you decide that, you can pick a cam and compression ratio you want to be at. I recommend 10.2:1 CR and the Woods TW-6 cams.

While you have it apart, change out your cam chain tensioners or go with gear drive if you pinion shaft runout allows it.

Boring your stock cylinders is better since they are already heat cycled and you won't have to break them in again.
