I have two carbed bikes and one injected. I have to admit that the injected bike (the '04 Ultra) runs great all the time, but so do the two carbed bikes. I still prefer a carb to injection. I like tinkering and adjusting. Can't do that much with an injected system.

Still glad I have EFI, from stock to high compression Stage III+, it was the right choice for reliability vs. my old carb'd bikes. Oh yeah, and kudos as well to my "piggy back" PCIIIusb tuning device.

I think the thing I miss most is the petcock valve that gave me a sense of security as to what is in the tank. Now I have to rely on a gauge but so far so good.

You can! It just needs rather more equipment than a screw-driver!

the one good point of this whole thing, I miss that too, those gauge reading are all smoke and mirrors!! other than that though...

I wouldnt buy a fuel inj Harley in 04 when I bought my Flhtc,I had a choice and I prefer a properly tuned carb anyday.I run a Mikuni and it runs flawless,no popping, same or better gas mileage as riding buddies and I have logged over 300,000 miles without ever having a carb related breakdown. I Have to laugh at guys with fool injection paying 300 to 400 for a Dyno. Sorry, I am old school,I do all my work on my bikes,no dealers for me.
