Default PC V question????

Is there anyway to lower the idle with the PC V? I know the TTS Mastertune will do it but will the PC V allow you to do it?

No. I wish there was a way because I miss the low idle of my old carb'd bike, but you can't do it with a PCV.

Ok I was thinking that was the case. My Rocker had the SERT and I lowered the idle to 850 and it sounded much better at idle. I might use the TTS after all.

By the sounds of it I am thinking Dynojet better get with the times. I have a PCV and love it with a Fuel Moto tune but it seems the other tuners are passing them by with added oprions. I am wanting to change some gearing and it seems to do it I need to get a TTS just to change some things for the computer to make cruise work. I wonder if a call to Dynojet will lead anywhere as to what the future has to come and whether or not a guy should steer away from their product just for a few more features. I just worry about losing the Fuelmoto tunes with the PC because I don't have a decent Dyno anywhere near.

With the TTS you don't have to have a dyno. You can ride it on the street and record data. I think you have to have a laptop with you though? The guy that does my tuning just quit working a G2 Motorsports so he no longer has a dyno to work off of and said with the TTS he wouldn't need it.

The only reason I was considering the PC V is because it is cheaper and I have read lots of good things about it.

I am not a pro tuner, but why wouldn't the PCV work with a gearing change? My cruise works in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. I don't think the PCV would care how fast or slow the motor was spinning to set the cruise??

The PCV doesn't care but the ECM does. Gearing messes with your ECM calibrations with rpm and speed. This is what makes the cruise un-usable if you do some changes. I guess I am wishing I would of got a TTS now.
