Default How can I raise the seat height on a RK FLHR?

I have a stock 2010 FLHR, and I would like to raise the seat height. From what I've been reading, I can do this through a new pair of shocks and a seat. I'm 6'3", and I weight about 350 lbs. I think I would be much more comfortable with the seat raised. At the stop light, my feet sit flat on the ground, and my knees are still bent somewhat. Thanks for any input you have. Ride on!

Go to the HD website, they have a section on getting a bike to fit the rider...it's pretty helpful....

I bought a Corbin Dual Tour from a guy that had it made to the specs of the Harley Tall Boy. It is 2" back and an inch or 2 higher than stock. Doesn't offer much back support but boy do I have leg room! I am 6'4 and when I put my feet on the highway pegs my legs are straight out.

My wife, on the other hand, is not to fond of it, since it took away some of her room.

Don't want to hijack the thread - but I got the same bike red/black - love it! I put a sundowner on it and a backrest and your ready for anywhere - anytime!! The sundowner actually raised me up a bit - and is much better than stock IMO

I'm 6'2" and mine sits fine for me. I'm glad it's not lowered it's a better ride stock than the lowered street glides

If the oval seat fits you then you might want to consider this...
I seem to remember the soft tail fork tubes are 41mm and 2" longer... consider adding them in place of the FLH's tubes...You'll have to add 2" worth of spacers to get the same front suspension out of them which isn't no biggy...
Then for the rear get yourself a Pringles after market kit which is used for lowering the rear end and install the right on the left and the left on the right which will allow the shocks then to sit 1" higher in the rear...
This should allow the bike to have a higher stanse for you..Also while your playing with all this drain all the 5wt. fluid out of your rear shocks and add something heavier like 15 wt bel-ray to slow down the compression on the rear end...
The reason I offer this is I have a buddy at work that would like to raise his as well...we discussed this in detail and feel it's one of his options...
FFT...The 2" in the front and the 1" in the rear will give it a S/Glide stance...
