Default Battery/charging problems

I have an 04 flhtc with a 2 tr old battery. On my last ride after about 30 miles my dash volt meter was slowly going down.I made it home and tried starting ,barely a click, battery was dead.I charged batt and did a voltage test at batt, was getting 14.2 v at 3000rpm. I also did 2 load tests with good results. Could battery still be ng? and if I have a charging problem, shouldnt it be doing it(not charging) all the time? I also checked all connections and seem to be fine.

I'd replace the battery.

Take it out and take it to the auto parts store to do a real good load test ...We had a machine at Advance auto the charged it and load tested it like 5 time during the cycle...takes about 1 hour but worth it.....Might be you charging system that is sucking the battery power down... could be the battery...

Just warmed it up and it suddenly started discharging, checked stator voltage at reg and was reading 0 volts. reconnected to reg started up and it was charging again.could be a bad connection in that short wire?

You could test the wires/connector.
