05 roadking

We put a new regulator and stator on and the bike still won't hold a charge ......anyone know if there is something else that we could be missing ????

charge the battery with a charger...a 3 to5 amp charge rate for a day.

then load test the battery at autozpne for free.

check the battery cables.

a bad battery can destroy a stator or VR, so we have to know the battery is good

once we know the battery and cables are good we check the stator and VR

the HDForums tech board has an electrical section with charging system checks...requires a volt/ ohm meter and 20 minutes

Did you test the battery first? Always start with the simplest.
Then did you perform proper diagnostics on the regulator and stator before changing them? Or are you just throwing parts at it hoping something sticks?
