I asked about PIAA for my 09 Road Glide and was told to be careful because some high watt/high heat bulbs could melt the housing. Still have the stock bulbs, but I'm interested in more/brighter bulbs. The other consideration is lifespan of the bulb. Keep us posted on your choices.
I had seen this posted and talked about before , maybe this might be a possibility. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.p...;topic=20543.0
The euro headlight setup gives a better beam spread than the US dot setup.
The Osram 70/65 bulbs work really well also.
I'm running an E-Code setup and it's far and away better than stock for sure.
Didn't know if this might be a direction to go.
Just an option.

I know about the Euro set-up but I am not even sure you can get the parts anymore. I just want to switch the bulbs and be done.
My car/tech buddy said to go with the PIAA H4 extreme whites...and I trust his judgement...plus he can get them at cost for me...LOL
Plus my local dealer sells PIAA so I know they can be used as replacements...I just wanted to hear from someone who may have used me.
I guess I am the guinea pig...I will let you all know the results.

I found the same warnings/issues with my 08 RG when I was prepping up for the Hoka Hey. I finally did nothing and added Moto lights.
I'm sure it is no news here, but for whatever reason H-D sends these bikes out with the lights adjusted way lower than what the book says. Adjusted via the method prescribed by H-D does provide much improvement. IMO
