I have been riding my 08 Ultra for a year now while planning new mods. I added E-3's and Dynabeads about 8 weeks ago but last week was the time to make the new windshield happen.

First I took advantage of the Long Rider Shields sale and ordered a medium smoke 10" ultra. While waiting for it I decided to finally make a set of plexiglass wind deflectors to fit behind my turn signals to slow down that 100mph blast of wind that always blows right on my knees. I now have about 30% of the blast that I used to have and I can live with that.

Then a friend called and offered me a great deal on his Monster Ovals. I installed them and the windshield on Friday and went for a ride with a big grin on my face! It was like riding a new bike!

Let me say this about LRS. I placed my order about 11pm on Monday (Labor Day). I recieved an email confirmation on Tuesday morning and my shield arrived on Friday. Not bad at all. I was replacing a HD 10" shield and the new Ultra Flip 10" shield throws the wind at least 2-3 inches higher than the old shield. That, along with the decreased wind flow hitting my knees makes for a very comfortable ride.

The Monster Ovals are exactly the sound I was looking for and increased my performance some. I think the bike is running leaner now as I have more heat and some gurgeling/popping when decelerating. I already had a SE air cleaner so I think adding the MO's increased the air flow causing a lean condition. I think I will have to add a pc3 this week to finish the job.

I need more weeks like this one!
