Default Stage One Upgrade

Is it worthwhile doing the stage one upgrade ( hi air flow filter and download) or is it a waste of money? Can you tell the difference in horsepower? I already have slipons but havent gone further. Wasnt sure if it is worth the cash.
I ride an 08 Ultra

Stage one to me would be, pipes, air cleaner, tuner & dyno. Doing that, you would see an increase in power and less heat. In my opinion it is worth the money.

Definitely worth doing. The breathing on the stock bike is really limited due to all the EPA crap.

stage 1 is the best bang for the buck you will get. spend a little extra and get a tuner instead of the HD download. visiting fuelmoto for a power comander pre-loaded with a map for your configuration is one option.

Definitely worth the money, even without the pipes and tuner. It'll make a large difference in how quickly your bike can rev up as you open the throttle. However, with the free-flowing exhaust that you may already have, an EFI tuner of some type is probably just about a necessity. Otherwise, you'll be too lean.

Yes, stage 1 is worth it; especially if you have a catalytic converter in your exhaust pipe and replace them with free flowing pipes.

Money well spent for me. Increase in power and decrease in heat near the right foot.

I had stage one done a few years ago on a 2005 electra glide classic, saw some difference, not a lot. Had a stage 2 with a 103 build done on my 2009 road king classic, now this is a big difference. Its like being on a completely different machine.

With a good tune expect about a 10hp/10tq increase, less heat and better throttle response.

Whats the cost of a Stage 1 upgrade at the dealer? Already have SE slipons and will get the ac from an aftermarket - probably Joker Machine or Licks.
