I just purchased a 2010 Ultra Limited in April. I've only got 6500 miles on it and the CB is making an awful popping and cracking noise in the headset or the external speakers which ever i'm using at the time, had it in the shop last Tuesday with no luck by Thursday I needed it back for the weekend and now the radio is shutting down randomly. I put it back in the shop when I returned on Tuesday of this week and now it is Saturday and no one still knows what's wrong. The tech has replaced the antenna and cb radio with no results. If any one has encountered this and found a solution, please pass it on I really need help.
Thanks in advance
Mike without a bike!!!!!
Maybe a loose connection and/or bad ground connection between CB & spkrs or power lines to the CB...have the Tech check all the associated wiring harnesses.
Also try hooking up a new antenna with its own antenna cable right up the connection on CB, bypassing the bike mounted antenna & cable...if this corrects the problem you probably have a bad antenna cable...
Thats all I can think of...good luck...I hope you find the problem sooner rather than later!
