If you have a friend that is a mechanic, he either ownes a slide hammer or has access to one. You may have to build an adapter, but it shouldn't be too bad. Hell, if you were in Phoenix AZ, I'd do it for you.

Any mod that requires a hammer usually doesn't turn out good.

Ever removed baffles that have been in a while???? I couldn't even budge them with a slide hammer. 5 foot length of pipe and an 8lb hammer took care of the problem. But I ain't even gonna argue with you on it for other applications!

If it's that stuck and you want to remove the bar from where the position of it is now, (and the muffler is off the bike) you could weld a tab onto the bar so you have something to beat against and hammer it back out.

It's the ugly way to do it but if nothing else works.....

Post up some pictures so that we can help you figure out what can be done. If the pipe is stuck in the middle maybe you can pound it all the way through as suggest earlier in this post.

But usually does indicate that it is not an electrical problem. (
