I have noticed that on my 2006 FLHTCUI, the adjustable vented lower fairings (w/storage compartments) do not remain "open" when adjusted accordingly in that position to allow maximum air flow cooling to the engine. Has anyone encountered this problem on their bike? I am not sure if it is the air flow itself causing the adjustable vent-door to close off or perhaps the engine vibration doing it? Would appreciate anyone's input and/or fix on this.

There is a nut in the fairing glove box that applies more tension on the spring the applies pressure to the pivot point. You can tighten this nut a liitle to keep the vents from moving.

Yes, I had to tighten mine to keep them from closing.

Ditto....and they still close at will! I doubt it makes a lot of difference, but it is annoying!
