FLHTK Lower air shield keeps closing.

Default FLHTK Lower vent door keeps closing.
Does anyone know if there is any type of adjustment for the fairing vent door?

I have one lower vent door that keeps working itself about 75% closed as I ride. When opening or closing I hear the clicks and stop points, this one bugger will always close some when riding.

Default Sorry to be a dummy, but where is this nut located?
Must I take off the upper cover to adjust?

Are you talking about the hard lowers? If so, there's a nut on the inside opposite from the know you turn to open and close the vent. Am I missing something?

Yes hard lowers. This is my first bike with them so I am not familiar with the tightening.

Righty tighty. Don't tighten too much though as the plastic can crack.

Wait now, you talking about crash bar mounted lowers? Or the lower vents in the 2015/16 road glide fairing? I call them the tunnels.....

Had that happen with mine. Tighten the nut. It helped but didn't fix it. Rebuilt it with new parts and problem solved
