That is the best way to describe it. It is mostly in turns and bends. It feels like the back end is going to wash out on me. It also does it on straight strecthes when I hit bumps. The rear wants to wiggle and it feels a little unstable. Could it be tire pressure?? Air pressure in the shocks?? Or could it be something else I am not thinking of.
Also when I check what is the ideal tire pressure. I have seen posts where people are running so many different pressures. It is hard to tell what is right.
read your manual for the air pressue. Mine for my glide says 35 front and 40 rear. Now I run Avons and Avon says 40 front and 45 rear. Check your swing arm mount bolts. sometimes these loosen up and I run 18 psi in rear shocks solo and bump to 22 - 25 when two up and luggage.
Also HD has been replacing Engine mounts on the 06's
How many miles you got on her? ...... I've had plenty of Harley's including Ultra Classic and Road King and never heard of any of 'em wobbling until I started visiting this site ...... Never experienced it myself to be sure......I've ridden my current Street Glide up to 110mph (for a fairly lengthy period of time), and did not experience it ..... I took it trough twisties in New Mexico at 50 to 60 mph and didn't experience it ...... Both cases I was loaded with a bag on the rear seat and 15lbs of pressure in shocks...... both tires between 35 and 40psi ...... I'd have it checked out because I think ya got something going on that needs to get fixed.....Good Luck and let us know what ya find out.
Found the problem and I feel kinda stupid now. It was the rear tire pressure. But this may be a bigger problem. The pressure was down to around 15psi. How it got that low I dunno. Checked for anything in the tire that could be causing a slow leak and there was nothing. So the only thing I can think is maybe a loose valve stem. I hadn't rode in almost two weeks but still. That is alot of pressure lost. And the front only lost about 2psi in that time. Thanks for the suggestions.
