Yeah, my gets loose now and then. So, I have to check it while out riding and tighten it at times. I been devating on wheather I should be better off just going with the internal antenna system that mounts inside the fairing?

I had a little rubber duck antenna on mine and I found it missing. Found out later from the guy that was behind me that it went flying off on the road. Went down to rat shack (radio shack) and got a new metal whip style that was shorter then the factory antenna for about 7 bucks. A little light strength thread locker and it is still in place and tight.
Got rid of mine, went with the hidden inside the fairing one.
ebay streetglide kota, $20 bucks.
Seems to do alright.
Never thought bikes looked good with antennas protruding from them.
I've seen and heard of them falling off also. A buddy of mine was complaining someone stoled his cig lighter, a day or so later he said his bike wouldn't shift, guess what was down in between the primary and shift linkage, yup, a really nice cig lighter.
