It's been missing from the shelves of my Walmart also, for a few months now. I switched to the Mobile One 20W-50 V-Twin but wow it's alot more expensive - but still cheaper than Amsoil has become.
There was a recent article about a marketing manager for Walmart that has been cutting the number of items that they sell. He looks at the volume and if it does not meet his standard it is cut out.
I have noticed that many stores have went to wider isles and lower shelves. The variety has been cut back 20% so far.
If that keeps up all that they will have is toilet paper and soda.
Yep! Great current day marketing, happening all over the place. If it ain't sellin' fast & furious drop it. The current crop of marketeers can't seem to grasp the concept that if you don't have it, you won't sell *any* of it. Or the loss of incidental sales to people lookin' elsewhere for the product they just dropped. Short sighted marketing........

You got that right. There's a web email address on the back of our Wally World receipts. I complained about this very situation, and got a canned reply back, stating that not enough of it was being sold. They don't even carry the quarts anymore.
So I found it at K-Mart, and sent Wally World another email with a list of all the items I bought at the same time.
what's really going on here? ive been having trouble finding Mobile 1 15/ 50 at Wally world, anyone else with this problem?
Clerk there told me that that store at least was not going to carry it anymore. Then she said just the previous week she put the last of their stock on sale at 75 cents/quart. I wish I had gone in that day, I would have had a garage full of it.
.......again why not buy it by the qt. EVERY Autozone, Checker ect sells it. You people here so addicted to Wal-Mart that you can buy anywhere else?
no, its not being 'addicted to walmart'. its the fact that if you buy the 5 qt jug, its $21. if you buy it by the qt, it runs about $8-$9 per qt. thats double.
my local walmart has been bouncing back and forth. they will carry it, then not carry it for about 6 months, then carry it again. i buy 2 of the jugs when i find it. thats good for almost 3 oil changes. might have to buy 1 qt (if they are out of the 5 qt jug) on the last change, but thats okay.
A bit off topic I know, but the same thing is happening at grocery stores too. You never know from one week to the next what the hell they'll be selling. You find products you like and they disappear after a few weeks if they don't sell a gazillion a day. Just saying.

Alright cuz....We ain't addicted to walmart but when it's $21 for a 5 quart jug you ain't gonna find it that cheap at AUTO ZONE which i haqte to go in by the way...I try not to go there and It ended up being about $10 less per 5 quart...It's the same damn thing. So if i can get it cheaper at Walmart i will get it there and if it ain't there i will go somewhere else...I am pretty sure by your comments that you never go to Walmart. What i will do is wait until Advance, Napa or O'reileys runs a deal where you buy 5 quarts and get the filter all for $30.. I probably won't buy VTWIN oil if i can help it... $10 a quart is just highway robbery.
