I just installed a 9" light tinted Ultra LRS on my FLHTC and absolutely love it. I look over the windshield and get zero wind in my face or any buffeting of any kind. It looks great on my bike too.
I also have 2 long ride shields I just did a long trip with a 12" shield. Worked great no buffeting at any speed. They are great shields at a fair price
I too am enjoy my 9" ultra light smoke. I think that the curve is like adding and extra inch to the height. Just my observation! I could have went with the 8" but I can still see over the 9" and that will help when riding in the rain. Fast shipping, it shipped in a matter of hours after ordering. I think I received it in 2 days.
Could you post a couple of pics? That is the same shield I am thinking of putting on my UC. Is the tint light enough to not cause distortion when riding? It seems as if they get to dark you always are straining to look over it, kind of as if there is a wall in front of you.
I just ordered LRS clear 10in clasic for my ultra. Just wanted to replace the thin stock
one. I wanted full protection from the elements and for rain I'll use rain X. I think I'll
enjoy it after reading all the posts about LRS.
I just ordered the 10" Ultra dark grey from LRS today. I currently have a 9" Clark which is good for around town riding but @ hwy speeds gives you lots a buffeting. The 9" Clark is perfect as far as line of sight and the ability to see over it easily. After reading how LRS measures, you lose an inch into the fairing, so FYI everyone. I am looking forward to my new shield, as that extra inch caused by the flip should solve my buffeting issues on the hwy fer sure!
