Have a question about volume control; iPod to amp
In the Oct. edition of Hot Bike Baggers, they do a review of the new Yamaha Stratonliner Deluxe. It has a fairing and amp/iPod set up and volume control mounted on the bars. With my upgrade to a HD fairing, I have basically the same set-up (minus the volume control). Any of you audiophiles have any idea how I can get the same/similar set up for my bike (short of stopping in the Yamaha dealer) I currently have a sub-woofer volume control on the bike, but it is not very good at the lower volume level.
I want something like the new Strat has, that is mounted on the bars for easy access. This winter, I may tinker with the wiring and figure out a way to get a volume control similar to HD's and get the volume **** to mount in the hand controls. This can't be that tough, but I was in a hurry to get the bike together before summer, so I got the control, mentioned above, to get by. I'm not sure why it is limited on it's control, but then again I'm no audiophile.
