i am wanting to change the chrome nacelle on my 2006 flhri to the black ones that the police models come with. it appears that harley changed the nacelles somewhat in around 2003 or so. anyone know wha the difference is? ive got some black ones that i had on my 98. they have a 94 casting number. the chrome ones on my 06 have an 03 casting number. they sure look to be the same. any ideas?
yeah, the blacks one that i have are already powderocated from the factory as they were off a police bike. they have a few scratches however. i did see in the harley accessory catalog tonight though, that 94 up are all the same part number. so, i guess they will fit. they sure looked the same to me.
i could probably get a police bike owner to swap me some nice black ones for my chrome ones. but i ride the bike everyday for transportation and the down time while waiting on the nacelles would get me in a pinch.
