CAUTION ,Motor Mount Install
I recently installed a new front mount in my 04 flhtc.I went with Glide pro.Anyways I followed directions,unbolted mount and loosened motor bracket.I jacked up engine just enough to remove mount.After install, I noticed a knocking sound on low rpms mostly when starting out. I checked front mount area ,could find nothing wrong.Then I checked top of engine and found my Mikuni carb top was hitting on bottom of tank.I lifted tank and checked stabilizer link and it seemed okay,also checked out bracket on heads that attacheds to stabilizer link also good.I will remove my tank next month and see what happened (Bent bracket to stab link?) but I shimmed up tank in rear with a 1/8 washer for now till I check it out. Also Glide pro mount looks to be same size(thickness) as Hd mount,unlike the Velva ride mount which is taller.
