Default Cable length with Apes

Searched and found a few threads. Going to 12.5 " apes on my Rod King Classic. Leaning towards 6 inch over cables. Some say this is to long. Any one here running the Chubby WO502 bars on there bike? What length over cables did you use? Would you use a different length if you where to do it over?

TIA
Mike

Before you buy any cables, mount them and measure your length. Cables that are too long look like chit. Jus ask my wife. The dealer installed Wide Glide bars on her Sportster and all of her cables and brake line are too long. She won't take the windsheild off because of the mess.

I realize that mounting up the bars and then taking measurements is the best way to determine the length you need. Was just hoping some one else had the same set up and could save me the hassle of doing this. Not much ridding time left here in CO and do not want to waste a weekend on this. Might just hold off till winter if I can not find some one with the answer

I put 12.5 Wild1's on my Classic an had to go + 6" on everything , but a RK is different, I know guys on RK that didn't need to extend the wires just the cables and went with like + 4" I believe
