I'm thinking of going to true duals on my '05 RK. I want to try a set of fullsac's first, before I spend the money on an expensive system. I'm looking at the Dresser Duals from V&H. Anyone have an old fullsac kit they want to get rid of?
I have the Fullsac kit on my '03 and love it! No more cracked "H" pipe, cool right leg and a really nice dual exhaust note. Best $200 you'll spend...besides a BAL-1.
Although I'm not selling mine, you can add me to the others that are also happy with them.
Lost a bit on the bottom end but gained some in the mid range.
Had I to do it again I would absolutely still get them ..... but in black, instead of the polished silver (which quickly turned grey).
I'll het some high temp paint and go ove the header.
Also ..... Tom at Harley Goodies makes a great one piece cover so you don't end up with an ugly seam on the right side.
I think it was about $65.
I think you're talking about just the FullSac baffles, not the TD's. (??)
The two products are not necessarily interdependent.
I have only the TD's, and left my SE slipons as they were.
However, they are probably in need of repacking over this winter as they are starting to have a bit of a snap on throttle up.
I would guess the FS baffles would have the same bark (and then some) if not packed.
But ignoring sound ......... whether the baffles are packed or not, the performance should (for all practical purposes) be the same.
I bought my dresser duals for just over $300. They are very well made and the heat shields are twice as thick as stock. Chrome is beautiful too. Take a look.
Waited to comment on this until I installed my new fullsac true dual system. Great fit, and the change in tone is incredible. Bought my kit off EBay, $158 shipped, then bought the Harley Goodies 24" heat shield for $58 shipped.. whole kit $215, best $$ spent.. I see no reason to use any other true dual kit for my needs.. Running Rush 2" baffles, great combo from my vantage point...
