Both fine rides....the local Harley dealer here recently took on BMW as another product line....odd bedfellows indeed

Interesting - I've heard that Harley is putting the squeeze on dealers that are not exclusive.

Congrats on the new GS; you will love it the more you ride it! I have an '08 RT in addition to my '09 Ultra. The RT will run the wheels off the Ultra and the RT is bone stock.

My neighbor has an R1200GS,even though he has a few health issues he rides it all over the United States,it's a hell of a bike. It's beauty is not in form but in how functional it is,cool as hell if you check it out up close.

Been invited to a few Beemer get togethers at his house,we didn't fit in real well, but after a couple of times got to know them and what they're into as riders. They do their thing their way,not what I'm into but it's all good as far as I'm concerned.

Yep, not hard to tell the reasons a lot of guys on here bought a Harley from the responses.

Try going over to a BMW forum to talk about your Harley and see how far you get. Not trying to bash you, just speaking from experience.

Some Beemer owners have been reporting that their BMW bike comes in from the garage and tucks them into bed and gives them a kiss on the forehead.
