Default Kerker vs. Wild Pigs

Hey guys and gals,

I just bought an 02 Ultra that has been upgraded to a SE stage 1 kit, but the pipes are a little on the quiet side for me. Can anyone give me some insight on the two slip on brands listed. I've done some research but haven't come up with much for the Kerkers.
Thanks

If you're not hung up on having a muffler/pipe under each 'bag, I'd consider a ThunderHeader. I like how they sound, but I wanted the duals, so I went with tuneable SuperTrapps. Haven't heard the Kerkers, but the Wild Pigs should be plenty loud...If that's what you're looking for.

Finally, I can chime in and help someone else out. I have the kerker pipes on my 04 Road Glide. Cam and big sucker intake all work together to make it perform and sound really good. I love the sound. Nice all around sound. They have a good kackle but not too loud. Very good tone when you wind it up a little and real nice when you backoff. Just right for me a little loud but not bad.

I will be trying the Pigs. Sitting right here. Got them from ebay. Look nice, but I am not sure I can put them on my 07 RK until I get a programmer. I dont want to run my new bike leaner than it already is.

I don't think that you should have much of a problem with putting the slip-ons on your stock headers with the stock set up. It shouldn't run that much more lean. It's when you change the headers/air kit that you really need to be concerned. Having said that, I put a PCIII USB on my bike at the same time as my Wild Pigs (which I really like by the way...not too loud, but with that definite Harley rumble) and got a really positive response from the bike. And looking at the canned map for my set-up (the slip-ons and nothing else) from Dynojet, there really is not a significant change in the mix.

Either way, you should be okay

That seems to be the general feeling around here, maybe on older bikes or carbed bikes but when i added slipons to my 06 and took it for a test ride it got real hot in just the first 5 miles and when i got it home maybe 30 miles later the plugs were white. I added a ness big sucker and a cobra fi2000 the next day. it now runs much cooler (even cooler than with stock mufflers)and plugs look good. I think that the newer bikes tuned to meet epa are so close to being too lean already that even slipons put them over the edge. I thought the same as everyone else until I found out first hand.
