09 ultra battery needed
hi
it is getting time to replace my battery. 2 years daily driver in the desert heat.
i`m having a hard time finding info.
what is the stock cranking amps?
is there a bigger cca battery?
what is the stock battery code?
thank you for the help. and any battery advise.

Some like the Odyssey battery. IMO, I would stick with the HD or Deka. Properly maintained on a battery tender and they generally last 5 years or more. FWIW, if you take your stock battery to HD and have them test it on their Midtronics tester, it will print out whether it is a good battery or not. The batteries are prorated for warranty purposes if not under the 2year bike warranty.

I had it checked yesterday, they said its getting week but not enough to change under warranty.
it starts some times slow, but the pain for me is the amp turns on fine then i start the bike the lights dim to start and that interrupts the remote power turn to the amp, so the amp turns off. so i have to re start to get the amp powered up.

Replacement Battery
I just installed a new battery on my 02 Ultra classic.
Bought it from Battery Mart. (www.batterymart.com)
Bought a model EXT-30L battery. It is labeled as a BIG CRANK EXT-30L.
Listed on the internet as 365 CCA.
Actually rated at 400 CCA.
Looks to be the exact same case as my original battery.
It comes with new hardware and two brass colored spacers with a flat side milled on them.These go on your battery first with flat side facing down then you connect your cables.
This battery comes fully charged. It swings my 02 over like I have never heard. I am very happy with this purchase

I ordered it on 9/27 and it arrived via UPS on 10/1.
Cost was $85.95, shipping to San Antonio was $18.61. Total $104.11
I am a happy rider!
PS: while you are at it, install a Battery Tender. Will save you grief later.
