Riding home yesterday after a great 250 mi. day trip wth friends. We decided since it was
early to take the long way home through some backroads. We had just got through a slow
zone and I was coming back up on 55mph,when from the left 4 deer decided to cross the road.I'm on the brakes hard just short of sliding, and the cars behind me are locking up
and watching to see what a Harley looks like after it hits a bunch of deer.Just as the 4th
deer is almost in front of me he decides to turn & go back in the woods.I could have almost grabbed # 3's tail as we went by.My wife says we would have hit that last one.Yes I said a
thank you prayer, because I know God was watching out for us.
Oh yeah, I've been that same situation a couple of times myself in the past 25 years. Not much ya can do but hang on, and hope "someone" is watching out for you!
Yea the deer are thick, but man don't we have
some great riding all year long.East TN has the
best riding anywhere.
Dont tell anyone how Great the riding is here..They will pack up and be here before morning..As a Florida transplant I can tell you that this is Paradise...Keep it under your Hat..
Yep here in Tennessee the deer are thicker than fleas on a Hound dog..We are out in the country and it is a concern all year long..
Yup... Same here. The only road into and out of my place takes you through almost 12k acres / 2 miles of corn and soybean fields.. Just once I'd like to ask a deer why, for crying out loud..., do they have to congregate right at roadside just the other side of the lines on the road?!?!?!?! With all that wide open space and food seems they'd rather watch traffic go by..

Yea you're right I said too much.Maybe no one will read it.
