Electric Vests ??

Gerbring is the way to go. Widder was a great option, but as I understand it, after the owner passed on, the family closed up shop.
I have 2 direct extensions from my battery -- one for a Battery Tender off to the throttle/right side and one for the Gerbring. The latter strongly advises no to mix and match the two.

I think you will get more bang for your buck looking at a jacket liner. I went with Warm & Safe gear because it comes with the heat controller included. I got the 65-75watt model (cheaper- less strain on the alt). It worked perfectly all last year. I don't own a car so it's two wheels or stay home for me. We never see sub-zero temps down here but this liner does get hot enough to handle it.

Even though HD's are made by Gerbings but buy direct from Gerbings reason for that they have more size selections and plug ins are unique unlike HD bulky wirings. Buy a jacket liner so you can plug in electric gloves or pants and socks if you desire that's what I use and I don't care about Temps as long road is dry and no ice. By the way I bought dual temp control which I don't think is necessary if cold turn it on and off if you feel hot save money you can do without it.

My electric vest is the best accessory that I have ever bought for my bike. My wife and I have Eclipse heated vests that have served us well for 18 years. If I cover up with a polartec type jacket over the vest and under my leather jacket it gets a little bulky but I am good to go. I have been thinking about getting a heated jacket and pants.
