Default Hd security system

I have 08 rk classic with security and no alarm. Just recently when I turn ignition on, the directional signals flash like 3 times before it will allow me to start the bike. I have the fob on me. Normally u turned it on and it started. Do I need to reset it somehow? Thanks

Check battery terminals for tightness, change battery to key fob

Default Does this happen all the time now?

Mine will do that occasionally too. If the fob battery is ok and it only happens once in a while then don't worry about it.

Same with mine, but just once in a while. Like everyone said, I'd try a new fob battery though. I think they recommend a new one every year. Or was it every two years?

My '09 does it every once in a while. I wish that was the only issues I've had.

The battery in your fob is weak, change it and you won't have a problem.

Every once in a while it happens on my "10"Ultra. It's worth noting that cell phones with blue tooth and other such devices can interfer with the fob. The MOM recomends keeping things like cell phones and the fob seperated by several inches. I just keep the phone on one side and the fob in the other pocket. Other than that, the battery should be changed every 2 years according to mom.

FWIW on my bike the antenna for the security system is on the tray covering the battery under the seat.
