Swing Arm Questions?
I have a 1999 Ultra with 37000 on it. Don't find much in the manual about checking swing arm bushings. Just wondering what they look for. The rear wheel would have to be removed and then I suppose your looking for side movement is the swing arm. Does anyone have experience with this. If so about what mileage does that become a worry? Doesn't look like to bad a job in the manual. I know there are some after market kits out there. However I have heard they can cause you more vibration. I really don't want that. Stock parts would probably be fine with me. Again, I don't even know if I have a problem. Just asking. Thanks

disconnect shocks from Swingarm, move it up and down to see if it sticks in a certain spot. see if it moves laterally. A little is ok alot can cause you to have rear steer. Check the rubber bushings, check torques, if good run it. you didnt say how many miles but I replaced my bushings and bearings at 101k. 04 Roadking
