The Truth is you spent too much money like a Lemming on a Brukus security device.

To me the bottom line here is the corn producers could give a rat **** about how the E10 or E15 effects your automobile/motorcycle/boat/RV/Chainsaw...all they care about is selling corn. I didn't mean to turn this thread into a debate on world events. I guess I just get pissed off that not enough research is put into these actions. I'm all for alternative fuel sources, but at what cost? I know I don't make enough money to replace every vehicle I own every few years. If the government wants to roll like this..then the car/motorcycle companies should be involved to figure out a way to make this all work on all vehicles types. To put another spin on this....think about how many jobs will be kept or added because people have to keep buying or fixing vehicles. Good luck to us all

Only part of what you said is true. The US does get oil from the middle east.

Going back almost a decade now, when i worked for another company on the east coast, I used to transport fuel oil from Sunoco's Belmont terminal to their logistics plant next to the Philadelphia airport. I pumped it into above ground storage tanks. I did this about once a week, and sitting about 50 yards from me on the river was a tanker from the middle east every week.

The fuel oil I brought in was used to heat the crude oil before getting refined.

Truth! Truth!, You can't handle the truth!

Oh wait that was a movie.

Ship in a bottle. Thats all we are. Waiting for someone to shake the bottle.

Vote. Lobbies are powerful and are only focused on their interest. Thats their purpose. The economics of this are ugly from just about every angle.

Using corn for fuel makes no economic sense. All it does is keep the price of gasoline and our taxes high. Drill in the gulf and north slope of Alaska.

Just my 2 cents.

Corn growers selling their corn for ethanol really is not in my opinion a case of market supply and demand. At least not in the laissez faire sense of the term. There is artificial demand for corn stemmed by government incentives. Wheat growers are also growing corn because it is more profitable than wheat. Yet the demand for wheat has not dropped, being that everyone still eats.

This is government policy regulating the free market.

I'll avoid running the stuff in any of my vehicles, especially my motorcycle until it is a a last resort.
