Strange feeling?

A couple of weeks back I had the rear tire blow on my 07 UC w/ me and the wife on board. We were going about 80 when this happened. FWIW, we didnt panic and go down, but it was one hell of a ride till we got it to stop. The wife did extremely well and has not lost her nerve to get right back on. The question I have is after I had the new tire installed it just dont feel right. It seems to have a wobble and looseness that was no there before. I have looked everything over and nothing is jumping out at me. Am I missing something? Is it just in my head? What might have been damaged that Im not thinking of? I have 22000 miles on it and it has always been solid. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Check the amount of air, andif that checks out, have it balanced.

i have had that happen. if you have laced spoke wheels,have them checked. that could very well be your issue.

1. Air pressure
2. Balance
3. double and even triple check the wheel and axle to make sure nothing got bent.

Could be components within the rear hub - isolators, I think - got knocked askew. (???) I haven't had the need to take my rear wheel apart, but I know there's more in there than meets the eye. Check the service manual.

More than likely that 07 UC has mag wheels on it but check the rear wheel alignment and axle nut torque just to be sure it went back together right. Alignment will give you a strange feeling if it isn't right. Very few dealers will properly align a wheel when doing maintenance, they just back off on the adjusters and after the wheel goes back on they will take up on the adjusters again and it's "good enough".

Also as mentioned above, check the air pressures in both wheels.

Blow out was caused by a nail on the highway. It was more of a rapid deflation than a blowout I guess you would say. Air pressure and all check good. thanks for your input.
