Default Angled valve stems for 09 and up wheels

I'm tired of struggling with the stock valves when I check or add air to my tires. The different gizmos I've made and used don't work as good as an angled valve mounted directly on the wheel.
I'm gonna have an American Elite rear tire mounted next week so I want to tackle the issue once for good.
Anyone uses the 82 deg billet valves from Motorcycleanchor.com ?

http://www.motorcycleanchor.com/tire_valves/index.htm

Any issue with them? They seem to be high quality but their black valve, at least on the picture, is not completely black. The base is silver and the top is black. Is it the case in reality? The 09 Ultra wheels are black where the valve exits so I'd rather have a 100% black valve there.

Thanks for your help.

I have the front rim mounted with one, have about 5 k on it and no problems. They make pressure checks a snap. I'm waiting for the rear tire to wear out to put the rear stem in. I think you are looking at the silver metal piece that goes on the inside of the rim. I like them. Good luck frenchie......

I've got them on my 09. LOVE EM!!! Harley should be putting these on the bike from the factory. The only thing I regret is getting the black ones. They're hard to see on the wheel, especially the rear. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the gold or silver colors but it's not really a big deal at this point.

The web link you posted says they're ready to ship. I'm glad to see that. When I bought mine about a year ago, I got an email from them saying the company owner had been killed in a bike accident and it would be a while before they filled the order. I did receive them about two weeks later and I'm glad I waited but the last time I looked at the web site, earlier this year I think, they weren't doing business at that time. I do hope they're selling again because the stems really are a great product.

Good luck & Ride Safe,
Steve R.

Thanks. Now that I've read your reply, I looked at the picture again and it finally hit me. The silver base and nut will be under the rim, not above. Stupid me. LOL

Looks like a good idea for sure....I mean even on my VTX that type of valve stem came standard on the rear wheel and sure makes it easy to check pressure and fill tire. Front one is still a pain in the rocks as I use a 90 degree adapter on that one just to check and fill...but you usually lose a bit of air putting it on and off..I like the idea of the built in one that shows on your link

OK guys, thanks for your input, I'm sold! I'm gonna order a set today. Black is fine with me. Even if they're not very visible, I'm sure I'll find them on the wheel. <g>
Like someone said, HD should mount them instead of their crappy rubber valves that are pretty much inaccessible with the new wheels. It would cost them less than 5 bucks and our life would be much easier. <sigh>

I've got them too. Found out about them on this great forum. A great product that solves a very annoying problem. Probably outlast the bike too.
